Buy Here Pay Here isn't an easy business to be in. There is a lot of stress and pressure from both ends.
Dealing with customers is tough because they need a car to keep their lives going. They got themselves in a tough spot and need a way to get out. We can help but it doesn't make it easy.
There are a lot of shady people out there who continue to make the same or similar mistakes over and over again. These are the customers you try your best to avoid but can't.
Most of our customers are good hard working people stuck in a rough situation.
On our end its convincing our boss to finance you. Its his job to make sure we don't secure bad accounts. If we do then with that comes a lot of different problems. We don't sell cars just so we can repo them but often time when a customer goes missing for months on end we have no choice but to do this.
Repoing a car puts a lot of pressure on the business. We have to spend time and resources to find a car we sold. Then we have to go through the court system to try and recover any type of damage done to the vehicle. It is not fun and one of the worst parts of BHPH financing.
Also, if the car comes back that reflects on the person who sold them the car. When you walk into a buy here pay here lot make sure you ask as many questions as possible so you fully understand the fine print. This way you are fully prepared throughout the remainder of the loan.
